Raspberry Pi Zero 1.3

Post by Camble » Mon May 16, 2016 2:34 am

Well it would seem the rev 1.3 board has a camera port, with no mention of audio.

Well, I guess camera would be cheaper to implement than audio, but it's still disappointing. Oh well... :(

Hi everyone,

I am quite new but already got my first question regarding the version 1.3 :)

Does anyone have any experience on the new version 1.3? You think it will fit with the new camera port? I am asking because getting a PI Zero seems to be quite hard at the moment. And if so I can only find the new version 1.3.

Thx for your comments, help, answers

What do you mean with "New camera port"?
The 1.3 is the first Zero that has the camera connection.

I think she (or he ? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ ) means not port but connector. Because the Pi0 1.3 is a little bit higher on the end than the previous ones.

I don't think it would take much space. And if still would not fit... I bet you can remove it (with more or less force :? )
I don't even know how to solder ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Hi,
the new Zero's that are being shipped are 1.3. I know this as I bought one last week from the Pi Hut. I also got an email from them, saying they will be back in stock on June 1st. Message from Pi Hut:
The next batch of PiZero...
We're expecting another batch of Raspberry Pi Zero to be available on Wednesday (1st June @ 9AM BST). These will still be restricted to one per customer - we enforce this to keep things fair and ensure that as many people as possible can get their hands on one.

Keep your eyes firmly fixed on our twitter feed (@ThePiHut) - we're pretty active on Twitter and it's a great way to keep up to date with PiZero availability

No problem :)

But even with the connector (according to dominators picture) it looks like the highes part on the Pi is still the HDMI connector.

I'm building with the RPi0 with the camera port. It makes no difference and doesn't interfere. No worries whether getting an old one, or the new one. It'll work the same with no spacial issues. All of your space issues are going to result in other problems. :)
