The question is why would you need the zero W when kites board has built in WiFi and Bluetooth

It's exactly the same as the old zero (v1.3), but has extra WiFi and Bluetooth.

There should not be an issue from what I understand.

I would not do that since Kite has WIFI on board and the rp0w will use up more of the battery's life for no additional benefit.
For non kite-projects I would definitely take the rp0w from now on.

Best regards,

Toni

Saw this last night and ordered mine strait away. What a great idea. Basically negates needing to use a hub. Which is great for me.

But I think (can't know for sure yet), it will use less battery than plugging in a separate WiFi and BT dongles...

99,99% of the time I do not plug my WIFI dongle into the GBZ simply because I do not need it at all when playing :-)
Therefore, I assume my power management is better with the RP0 than with the RP0W ;-)

Toni

gonna test out the wifi for my GBZ build, see how good the range is in the case and also if it causes any interference for other parts like the screen...

I see they have removed the PP solder pad names on this new version. New people jumping on this will be even more lost now.
