Pi2+ vs pi3

Post by Richb77 » Wed Oct 04, 2017 5:50 am

Hi All.

I am a glutton for punishment and whilst cobbling together my GBZ i am also planning a desktop arcade system for primarily Mame and if possible the capcom series of roms.

Question i have (as a non Electrical or Softie type...I am mechanical).

How big a performance difference is there between a Pi2 B+ and a pi 3?

The reason i ask is i have a Pi2 B+ i can use rather than buying another Pi. I am not against an upgrade if the benefits are that great but i am finding it difficult to find real world comparisons that matters

Processor for one.

900MHz (Cortex-A7) vs 1.2GHz (Cortex-A53)

Connectivity for two.

Pi3 has on-board Bluetooth and WiFi

No brainer for a GBZ
