I actually have a very good contact in China and they have 1.8 inch all the way to 3.2inch SPI 240x320 so there are ways to obtain these sizes if you look hard enough and that GBA project GamePie Advance uses such a screen in 3.2 inch size (2.8inch is almost a perfect fit from my testing) so it's a decent screen to use for on the cheap.

Don't contact me about obtaining my board files (as you will not get them). If my Boards or PCB Kits are sold out, they will be restocked as soon as I can get them and there is demand for them. You can join the mailing list on my Website to be notified when they are available.

I've seen 2.2", 2.4", and 2.8" ili9341 screens on Aliexpress. Are these the spi screens to look for?

yeah, they all look good, but you don't necessarily "NEED" them to be PCB mounted, and the memory card reader will almost certainly be a waste of time on the Pi (though I think a few people have gotten them working?)

this one looks interesting from a mounting perspective... (could have it solder to the PCB below it (as you look at it) so it wouldn't need to take depth behind it)
