Hey guys,
I'm currently in the middle of my GBZ build and I've come to those ever a problems Status LEDs!
I Ideally want 3. One for power on, One for Low Bat and One for Charging.
Now I've found a rough guide by going through the Adafruit forums
https://forums.adafruit.com/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=75831
But I can't follow it very well, I'm quite new to electronics and I'm learning as I'm going.
Would anyone be able to either break this down in easier to understand steps or give me some kind of wiring diagram?
Thanks to anyone who can help in advance!

So you want your charging LED to just shut off when it's done? I mean like.. not having an charging complete led at all?OrbitalPi wrote:Hey guys,

Ladies and gentlemen, I would like to inform you that I am currently moving very far away, and therefore I am very busy.
UPDATE: I am still alive! My ISP is setting up my internet on the 19th of January at my new place, explaining my offline-ness.
If you write me a PM, I will very likely take some time to respond.
Also, my 2nd build will soon go on, so if you've been following it, please stay tuned!
Many thanks for your understanding!

Re: Breakout of Powerboost LED's
Yeah I'm not fussed with the charging complete LED. Seems a tad redundant to me.
I've got some fibre optic cable I'm triying to rig to get those status lights on the front but actual LED's would be alot better. But I can't seem to work out where I need to solder and how to go about.

Well, then. You desolder the original LED's on the board, solder on wires in their place and on the other end of the wires your replacement LED's. That's exactly what I did in my build.OrbitalPi wrote:Yeah I'm not fussed with the charging complete LED. Seems a tad redundant to me.

Re: Breakout of Powerboost LED's
Would you be able to show me you Powerboost with this? I tried doing that the other day and I blew the powerboost when I powered it up.
If that's not too much to ask

Aftter desoldering the old led, solder your LED anode (+) side to where the RED mark is and the cathode (-) side to YELLOW (or GREEN, depending on which LED you're working on).
I may have mixed up which side the yellow/green LEDs are on, so double check that before you begin.

Re: Breakout of Powerboost LED's
Why am I having so many problems this this!
I've just soldered the LEDs on as I think I should of and this is what I got...
The problem is now it doesn't work. It just gets really hot. Won't charge, won't power anything.
What have I done wrong
