Anyone noticed that the PowerBoost 1000C takes a long while to charge a 2,500mah LiPo? I started charging the battery with the RPi powered off and it's been 2.5hrs already and still the green LED status indicator has not come off yet.

I noticed this since the first time I tested the PB1000C but nobody seem to notice this and has not posted the same in forums.

Forgot to mention I'm using a 5V 2A charger with a quick charge USB cable.

I haven't even charged my battery once, yet.
I hope i will finish my build this week and will then go into testing the lifetime of the battery.
Good to know the LED will go out when the charging is done,
haven't had time to read about how it indicates the finished charging process.

Does anyone have average charging times for different mAh batteries to compare?

Charging at 1A means that for every hour it will put in 1000mAh of charge, 2500mAh should take 2.5hrs in theory.. The way LiPos charge means that towards the end the current drops, so it may actually take a bit longer towards to end as the current drops.. when current hits a set figure (50mA?) the battery is deemed as 'charged'.. if you are pulling power from the batt, it may have a higher load (200mA) and so the charger will never fully charge it (which is why the power boost is good, because when connected to USB it will not pull load from the battery, unless the load on the system is higher than 1A or so)
