Got my smd pcb's from OSH park (
https://oshpark.com/shared_projects/qUEOjE0n) and then purchased the resistors and caps, at first I got audio hiss but then after adding the bellow code to /boot/config.txt the hiss went away, however the audio is still quiet (not running through a pot yet) and I have turned it all the way up in raspi config, also some of the games sound stutters but they don't stutter when using HDMI.
Going for stereo headphones so used this code:
