Re: Dual colored faceplate for mintyPi
what have you done to your TAZ to get such a bad print off it? the D-Pad cross is badly distorted, and the ABXY circles aren't much better... I think you might have some printer issues to resolve. a TAZ 5 should be knocking out prints as good as wermy's. did it come unstuck half way through?

Re: Dual colored faceplate for mintyPi
I did not have to use an Exacto knife on my edges. Just some sandpaper to smooth out the top layer. Unfortunately, like @abrugsch said your print quality seems a little low. I'm seeing some evidence of under extrusion, gaps between perimeters and infill, and maybe some extruder dragging across the surface as well. This picture is of your first layer, correct? Possible reasons for the print quality issues may be your extrusion diameter/multiplier is too large or small, you're printing too fast (especially for the first layer), retraction setting are off, z-lift is too low. Print bed may also not be calibrated well. Sorry if that seems like a lot of possible culprits, haha. Though I use Slic3r Prusa Edition to slice, simplify 3d has a good page on print quality issues here: https://www.simplify3d.com/support/prin ... gh-plastic Hope that can help!did you an Exacto knife to trim some edges (that's why dome edges are uneven)

sorry I accidentally wrote you instead of use. the reason the d pad and the buttons look bad because I tried to make them bigger with an Exacto knife. Also, the blue has been giving me some problems.

yeah I had some filament the other night that just wasn't working with the printer I was using... tried everything to get it to work. you know what worked in the end? yep, different filament. worked like a charm after thatpeeweejedi wrote: ↑Thu Aug 10, 2017 4:15 pmThe reason the d pad and the buttons look bad because I tried to make them bigger with an Exacto knife.
