My builds
My builds
Here are my builds. Still need to clean up the tins a bit. This was a hard build with all the solder work. Using the test pads and understanding the circuit really helped. Changed the emulator for FBA and GBA and all my games are working now. I changed up the tin and plastic colors. Would of loved one of the clear ones.

Re: My builds
Wow, great work! I can't believe you had the patience to build 4 of these. I spent about 20 hours on my only build and there were times when I wanted to throw it against the wall.

Re: My builds
Nice job! If you know how to properly assemble them it's not too bad. I built 2 this past Saturday.

Re: My builds
I think I spent about 2 hours total so far... 1.5 on making holes, and the rest cleaning up prints for flush fitting
I'll be doing all the soldering this week, or whenever my remaining parts come in (thanks for sending me someone else's order, Farnell... )

Re: My builds
I actually built five but the sound isn't working on my last one. Ordered a new sound card after trouble shooting it a bit. Couldn't find hand files, so I just used my dremel. I probably had every problem between the builds. Such as when I installed the memory card it lifting my solder joint for the A button. While soldering I lifted the pad off for negative battery connection on lipo power circuit. Just ended up connecting it to ground on the lipo. Seems to be functioning correctly.
Should of made some of the wires longer and taped along sides and bottom of tin. It always comes down to cable management.
Cleaned up buttons and still had a few stick here and there. I used longer tactile switches for the bumpers. I thought it would make it easier to reach them.
I did use the power lead for my switches like wermy suggested.
