This is the first project like this I have taken on as far as very limited space, all of my soldering and electrical knowledge is basically from the r/c hobby or just radio in general . I find myself really wanting to do a rpi3 in a Gameboy but it appears that's not a popular choice and I haven't found too much on doing so. Iay just not be looking in the right spot.
I ordered the peppermint red parts from wermy and decided to put them in a cinnamon tin. I like how it turned out. The speaker I received may be a bit tall as the center sticks up just a little on mine.
Finally!
Re: Finally!
Looks great, thanks for sharing!
You should definitely consider a RPi3 for a GBZ, it is totally worth it and it is something you will use. Kite's version is very stable, you should have a look at his instruction manuals, it is very educative.

Re: Finally!
Great build! Looks really nice and great work on your first project....maybe a GBZ next then?!
A Pi3 GBZ is a sought after model but poses a more hurdles so to speak. (requires de-soldering etc)
Kites kits as Eccho says are excellent as are his manuals and support.
Also check out 'inches' upcoming board which works alongside Kites SAIO and a Raspberry Pi compute module (similar grunt to a Pi3!)

Re: Finally!
Awesome! Thanks, I'll check it all out again. I had seen kites aio board earlier and was hoping I could get ahold of one soon but it seems they aren't for sale currently?
Re: Finally!
The current batch is being fabricated. Once those are in, checked, and mailed out, Kite will (hopefully) re-open another round. Probably sometime in October.
