Yes sure it’s possible ! Depending on which paint can you ise, it may however maybe not stick well. I recommend using RC Body Car painting as they are very elastic and stong, they won’t fall off peeling

Cans like those from Tamiya will deposit only a few microns but of course, your gesture must start out the button and finish out the button so you do not deposit a pack of painting on it...
Between each layer, allow one hour drying... 2 layers should be enough if well done

Watch some RC Body painting techniques videos to see what i’m talking about

Sounds good but cannot guarantee how strong it is...
