We are wondering where you found the parts and what they are called. If you could give us a list of all the components that would be nice. Then we will watch your guide when it is released. Thank you![]()

Re: mintyPi 2.0
Finally got all the extra little bits - except for the Wermy/Helder's parts. So eager to get started again ...but no rush fellows. Just looking forward to doing this. Haven't done a build since my shitshack/heathkit days.
And a happy father's day, to whom all that applies to!

Re: mintyPi 2.0
Just a thought: If we power the MintyPi directly from the LiPo (using a charge/protect board) instead of using a PowerBoost, will that present issues with the USB sound card? USB devices are intended to run at 5V. Is there a power regulator on the Pi Zero itself that will boost things up to 5V for the USB port?

The usb sound card can safely and properly run from 3v to 5v so it'll work without issue.obsidianspider wrote: ↑Sun Jun 18, 2017 8:57 amJust a thought: If we power the MintyPi directly from the LiPo (using a charge/protect board) instead of using a PowerBoost, will that present issues with the USB sound card? Re: mintyPi 2.0
Random question but I'm sure I'm not the only one curios. How strong is the hinge on this thing. Strong enough for me to feel safe handing it to a child?

Re: mintyPi 2.0
The hinge is stronger than it looks - especially when printed in something stronger than PLA, like ABS or the PC/PBT blend I use. I don't know that I'd trust a toddler with it (heck, even Nintendo didn't trust their hinges with little kids - that's why they put out the 2DS), but I wouldn't call it fragile.docholiday11x wrote: ↑Mon Jun 19, 2017 8:20 pmRandom question but I'm sure I'm not the only one curios. Re: mintyPi 2.0
Its running retropie (OS) which is installed on an MicroSD card. This card is put into the little low power pizero. Roms for systems like NES; SNES, Seag systems are transfered wireless / network to the microSD itself.SwagTrapSwag wrote: ↑Wed Jun 21, 2017 5:11 amSo how do we put games in and does it support 3ds games
and 3ds games, well, there isn't even a 3DS emulator which runs well on high end PCs. So dont count that a pi can ever run them. Nintendo DS emulator however is possible with the much stronger Pi3 which does not fit in here.
Please read some of the posts, cause I believe, you don't even know what we are talking about here.

Re: mintyPi 2.0
Ya 3ds games are a little too advanced for a pi 0, probably even a pi 3. Pi 0 can handle everything from the atari to the snes pretty well. And if you get lucky with a chip that overclocks fairly well, it can handle some ps1 games.SwagTrapSwag wrote: ↑Wed Jun 21, 2017 5:11 amSo how do we put games in and does it support 3ds games

Re: mintyPi 2.0
Hi wermy and Helder,
Can you answer me some questions please?
The dimension of battery are restricted to 34mmx62mmx5mm (1200mah LP-503562 dimensions)?
Cant we use a battery model LP-053759 (37mmx59mmx5mm)? its 3mm wider and 3mm shorter.
Cuz I cant find the model LP-503562 coming from china, and buying them from a european source, it only comes with stupidly expensive shipping method
