I'm having a heck of a time sourcing this stuff here in Canada (partially because you can't ship LIon batteries accross the US border.) If any fellow Canadians find better sources please let me know :) I'll also try to keep this updated with my progress.

You may have some local shops that sell batteries? Electronics stores or hobby/rc stores?

I've bough all my lipo batteries online from BC robotics though. Since i couldn't find any in my city. Reasonable prices. And they have a shipping sale now. 5$...usual is 13$.

They sell lots of other adafruit products as well as pi zero's.

Looks like only one 1200 mah battery left though:

Got mine from eBay. You can find them on amazon/aliexpress/etc too. Or a local shop maybe?

I bought the LiPo for my project off eBay, from a seller in China. They don't have the right battery for the MintyPi project, but there are a bunch of sellers who have the exact cell you need (1200mAh 503562): https://goo.gl/Njqf7E Shipping was a bit slow - around 6 weeks to get here (because Canada customs has a huge backlog from China), but on the plus side, the seller refunded my purchase because it took so long.

Alternatively, as mentioned above, there are a few Canadian on-line shops that sell the battery - BC Robotics, Elmood Electronics, Robotshop, Active Tech... You can find the links on Adafruit's distributors page: https://www.adafruit.com/distributors

If any other Canadians found a source other than eBay/China (i.e. a Canadian supplier) for the 20mm 8Ohm 0.5W speaker - please let me know! It's now exactly 6 weeks since I placed an order for it on eBay, and I'm losing hope :(

If you get desperate (like I am starting to) then this seems to fit the bill - though it's significantly more expensive, it does ship via FedEx so I imagine shipping time should be short:

Here's the speakers I bought, shipped from Colorado: http://www.ebay.com/itm/122538065666

I received those in 2 days. I ordered a set from China, on June 1st, and still haven't gotten them.

I saw those. But they are showing $16.50 for shipping to Canada. I wasn't willing to pay that much. Haha.
