Trust me, I want to get it all finished and out there asap.TechnoThePiGuy wrote: ↑Thu Jun 15, 2017 6:32 pmWermy, How much longer until a guide? I want to build this SOOOOO much

What I'm waiting on currently:
- Screws to arrive from china
- Finishing printing pre-orders (I've got 3 printers going 24/7 for these - even running home during my lunch break to switch prints out when I can)
- Final, non-prototype parts from Helder to do the guide with

For the USB sound card, how are you going to attach it to the Pi Zero micro USB interface? In other words, will it be soldered on from some points on the card, or will a specific USB OTG adapter be required?
I have two types of USB OTG adapters - one that has a very short cable from the micro USB connector to the regular USB, and another OTG adapter that is just one solid piece.
Eg.

http://www.dx.com/p/micro-usb-on-the-go ... pair-50774
Curious to know which method will be most effective and not cause space issues.

Hey wermy, your work is amazing and I created this account to say that to you. Also, I have a rare Altoids Liquorice tin at home, and I was thinking about making a super rare, if not unique, black mintypi 2.0. My big question is, will it be possible to order 3D-printed parts in even different colors than you promoted? In the end I would love to have a cinnamon one that looks like the one you made and a mintypi 2.0 with black plastic parts inside the liquorice tin, that would be my dream! Thank you very much in advance!

Due to the tiny space it will be soldered to the test pads. Almost 100% certain about that.

You will need to remove the USB male connector then solder the USB data lines to the pi test pads and also provide power and GND connections as well. There is a rather large crystal on the usb sound card and it hits the 8pin ribbon connector so it will need to be removed and extended using 2 wires so it's out of the way. It will all be revealed in Wermy's guide.rednakes wrote: ↑Fri Jun 16, 2017 1:54 amFor the USB sound card, how are you going to attach it to the Pi Zero micro USB interface? Well, to answer the question for him, you could go to any 3d printing website, I prefer TinkerCAD, and load up the stl files. Then just change the color to black. After, you could just save the new stl file and use literally any 3d printing website out there to make your new design. It might cost a few bucks more though, as I believe wermy is selling his parts at a discount (Thnx for that!)theoccurrence wrote: ↑Fri Jun 16, 2017 2:32 amHey wermy, your work is amazing and I created this account to say that to you.
