Re: mintyPi 2.0
My prototype board arrived from helder a couple of weeks ago.
already had a couple of the 2.4" screens in from previous convo's with moosepr and spare LiPo chargers from previous orders to adafruit.
in fact I already had 90% of this build in my bits bag.
just waiting for some slim tact switches to arrive and the STL's to be made available (and some time to build it!)
looking forward to this sooo much TBH.

Re: mintyPi 2.0
In fact I'm looking forward to this more than my gameboy mod. Probably because it has a much lower expectation threshold with more WTF factor
In other news, some of my bits are going to get evicted from their current home Re: mintyPi 2.0
That's awesome. I actually had mine up and running last night but when I put everything into the tin the screen went white. I've added electrical tape to the ribbon to get a tighter fit (and every once in a while I get the screen, but mostly its just white) I'm hoping this little issue is known to Wermy and addressed in the forthcoming tutorial. I know the screen is getting power because the backlight works fine its just a white screen. *sigh*
Re: mintyPi 2.0
I got my boards a couple of days ago, looking great! Still waiting for some parts from China too. Got an unused DS lite to see how different the buttons would be from the aftermarket ones.
Wife saw all my parts coming in asking what it's for and said she wants one in the middle "pink" tin.
Any clue how much money would it cost to custom print the insides once files are release? Anyone look into it in US and wouldn't mind sharing?

Re: mintyPi 2.0
I actually looked into it with shapeways. They were going to charge more than I am. There may be other services out there that are cheaper though, not sure. I am planning on having more colors available once I get this initial flood of orders out the door (almost there!). I do have some pink on-hand.EemsRoro wrote: ↑Fri Jul 14, 2017 3:01 pmI got my boards a couple of days ago, looking great! Still waiting for some parts from China too. Re: mintyPi 2.0
So I've noticed that once the Pi Zero is aligned with the header pins on the MintyPi board, the micro SD card is almost impossible to get in/remove due to the start/select buttons being in the way. Any ideas, or is this something that's dealt with in the guide?

Re: mintyPi 2.0
I got my boards today and I confess to being a bit nervous about the LCD board. The ribbon connectors on that board are quite crooked. I'm worried that may cause an issue when I fit the screen actually in the tin, in case the ribbon goes straight and the connector stays crooked and some pins end up getting crossed. I think we both need to wait til the guide comes out and try not to worry too much until then!

Set up your card before you seal the Pi in the tin. Set up WiFi before you seal the Pi in the tin.
