Yep, there is a plate that goes in the bottom to hold things like the power supply, battery and L/R buttons in place.obsidianspider wrote: ↑Tue Apr 11, 2017 9:10 amI'm really curious to see how the L and R buttons are being held in place. Maybe some more 3D printing under things on the bottom?

Re: mintyPi 2.0
I was going to build a GBZ as my second build (I recently put a Pi Zero into an SNES controller which was a really fun build) but I think I will do this one instead. My only questions are: What screen was used? and did you fit a teensy in there for mapping the buttons or did you do that some other way? I'm not sure all of us need a step by step (although honestly I'm probably one of the ones who do) but a parts breakdown would be HUGE so I could order them before the build video comes out.
Thanks.
Thanks.

and to save space, i would assume gpio is used for the buttons
Get a small cheep LCD in your project https://www.sudomod.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=22&t=2312
Wrap it all round a battery https://www.sudomod.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=2292
Or use a custom PCB to make it really small https://www.sudomod.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=2512
or make it really really really really tiny!! https://www.sudomod.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=2919

Re: mintyPi 2.0
Thank you. That is very helpful. I do remember Wermy saying on the original GBZ build that wiring to the GPIO directly made getting sound very difficult. I'm very curious how he was able to do both in that case.moosepr wrote: ↑Wed Apr 12, 2017 10:31 am

I have 7 weeks to get this build done in order to show it off to my family on a family trip (because I like showing off and it's the perfect chance to do it) so hopefully Wermy will be able to get the instructions out there in time. Fingers crossed.
I'm really excited to see the wiring diagram for this thing. This is a very cool build. Well done Wermy.

How dare you. Ginger is amazing!
In all seriousness though, the ginger case looks awesome and is the one I am hoping to make mine out of.

Thanks for the info. The original screen was 2.2", in the video he said the new version's screen is bigger.moosepr wrote: ↑Wed Apr 12, 2017 10:31 am
