Not sure if it's been mentioned, but for those who'd like to offset the shipping cost and save a few bucks when ordering from Adafruit.
There's typically there's a 10% coupon code posted every Wednesday with the 3d hangouts video on YouTube. It's a great show to watch also!

I'm looking into getting my own 3D printer. What model do you currently use?wermy wrote: ↑Tue May 09, 2017 10:12 pmThere is a piece that goes behind the screen bezel, and a piece that goes below the buttons and everything (what holds the powerboost, L/r buttons and battery in place). Those are the parts that the screws actually go into, so I use the PC/PBT for those.Danv97 wrote: ↑Tue May 09, 2017 10:09 pmwermy wrote: ↑Tue May 09, 2017 5:48 pm
I use PLA for the main colored part with the buttons, as well as the bezel. I use a PC/PBT blend that is much stronger for the hinge and anything with screw holes.
Edit: I use these guys - I've had great luck with them: https://www.pushplastic.com/collections
So you use PLA for the bezel around the screen and the cover around the buttons but were do you use the PC/PBT if both the bezel and the cover around the buttons both have screwholes?
Thanks for the answer!
Also, would It be okay to use ABS instead of PC/PBT for the hinges and screw holes?

Has anybody figured out around how much it would cost to make this and if it would be cheaper the the GBZ.

give or take $10-15
But the cost of the GBZ could alway get higher depending on what you decide to put in your build

Does anyone know where to find good quality sound cards? The one that wermy posted is about a month in shipping, so if anyone has found one that is around the same price range, but not from China or such, it would be nice to know. Thx m8s

Still waiting on a few parts. There is like a week or so turnaround time whenever something needs to be tweaked on one of the parts.

Re: mintyPi 2.0 News & Updates
I bought two "broken" DS Lites from Japan for $6 each so I could take their buttons and speakers, and they arrived today. They both work. Not perfectly, but still, they work. Now I feel badly about cannibalizing them for this project. Still $2 less than just buying buttons and membranes…

You could always take the buttons out and stick the other parts away for a rainy day. Could get buttons for them later on down the road.obsidianspider wrote: ↑Wed May 17, 2017 2:24 pmI bought two "broken" DS Lites from Japan for $6 each so I could take their buttons and speakers, and they arrived today. Re: mintyPi 2.0 News & Updates
That's how I'm leaning. I don't read Japanese, and don't have any DS games to test with right now, but if they work as intended aside from floppy hinges I'm sure I could find something to do with them in the future. Or, knowing my past, they'll sit in the parts bin for years.
