Batery size

Post by Mario.Semiglia » Wed Apr 04, 2018 4:14 pm

Hello,

I am really ancious waiting for all the parts that I ordered to start my mintypi project, the only thing that it is missing is the batery, because I leve in Austria I cannot get the Adafruit batery for a reasonable price. The 1200mah batery from adafruit listed on the wiki cost arround 40 Euros on Amazon.de which is totally out sence... on ebay I could not find it... could someone please give me the measures of the Adafruit batery so I can buy a similar one. Or did someone runed with the same problem as I?

thanks in advance for the help

Using the search feature you would find some results like this one.

Don't contact me about obtaining my board files (as you will not get them). If my Boards or PCB Kits are sold out, they will be restocked as soon as I can get them and there is demand for them. You can join the mailing list on my Website to be notified when they are available.

Thanks Helder, but I did not find anywere the actual size of the battery and I wanted it to contact the sellers. I have bought a lot of wrong things for my GBZ project for being shy and not ask about it. I found this one that costs 10 Euros instead of 5 but I am willing to pay for it...
I would get the product in one week instead of two months
the measurements of the battery are 54mm x 28.5mm x 9mm and I want to compare it to the one every one uses; also the numbers written on it are different than the adafruit batteries and I wanna know if I can go for it. Thanks in advance

here is the battery

here is some information that I found out about battery option for EU people:
I found at home an old 1200mah battery from a Samsung phone that its charging at the moment. The battery has tree pins + . and - the middle one should be ignored. The size of the battery is perfect and can be bought cheap on Amazon

https://www.amazon.de/Samsung-B008VSXGN ... .7+samsung

other battery: https://www.ebay.at/itm/Battery-for-NAV ... SwMNxXV8ve
this one should work too, might be a little too tight dough

I leave this information here, so it might help someone
Big Thanks to Rodocop for guiding me in the procces and explaining everything on detail by private messages, and also to Helder for making the mintypi and taking the time to reply to my post. I am really looking forward to my new build :D
