Minty Pi V3 Buttons

Post by KillFace » Fri Mar 08, 2019 9:42 am

I am still working on finishing some V2 builds and I would like to use the new V3 buttons if possible. Does anyone know if these new buttons will be compatible with the previous mintypi versions?

yeah, the face buttons (D pad and ABXY will be fine) (the start and select ones should work too, but they will press down a tactile button, rather than make contact themselves.). The shoulder buttons of the older versions used tactile buttons, so you will still need to use those.

The print tolerances for V2 were slightly different so you may have to open up the button holes a bit. You'll have to test it out and see how it feels / fits

Yeah. I used the silicone buttons on a minty pi XL. Using a v2 board. Mind you the minty pi XL is not the same, but it was designed using the original minty pi files, so I assume it would be very similar.
