Question about release of Mintypi Lite

Post by SuperCommands » Thu Apr 09, 2020 12:08 pm

I have a question...When the Mintypi Lite parts come out, will you keep selling the V3 Parts? Because, I like some of the features and I could guess so many do. Please answer me if you have an answer. Thank you!

Short answer: No

Long answer: The screens aren't able to be sourced at the same price anymore. If Helder were to order more screens, he would have to raise the price of the kit altogether. I believe if there was a high demand for them, he would but the demand just isn't there right now.

On Instagram he said twice that he would have kits by the end of March. And also what you say about the screens. I wouldn't mind paying more due to that screen, but at the moment I'm confused whether or not v3 will ever be available again.

Why not ask the me directly if you follow me on Instagram? As it is right now there is no more v3 going to be made, I plan to look at some of these other screens to see if they will work or not but then there is the added cost so because of that those might be made with a pre-order only since people will likely be thrown off by the price.

The lite should be available to Purchase next weekend and functions mainly the same and is cheaper than the v3 which should be more accessible to more people especially in these dire times.

Don't contact me about obtaining my board files (as you will not get them). If my Boards or PCB Kits are sold out, they will be restocked as soon as I can get them and there is demand for them. You can join the mailing list on my Website to be notified when they are available.

Since you replied to both me and someone else about the kits arriving end of March, I didn't want to bother you, since the delivery might be delayed due to COVID-19.

I would really love a v3, but I honestly have no idea of the added cost due to the screen being more expensive/obsolete. Could you give us some insight in what the new price might be?
