L/R Buttons Reversed

Hi all -

So after finishing two mintyPi builds, during play testing I realized that the L/R buttons are reversed in RetroPie and emulators (for example, hitting R scrolls UP the list of games rather than the expected DOWN).

I tried to edit the emulation station configuration file to swap them but it doesn't seem to accept it. Anyone else run into this and have suggestions on how to fix it?

Hm, I'll have to take a look at this when I get home - could be that they are indeed switched in the retroGame configuration but I never noticed because the controls can be mapped to whatever in emulationstation (if that makes sense). If you want to swap them you should be able to do so in /boot/retrogame.cfg - just reverse the pin numbers for those two lines.

you'll have to edit the retroarch.cfg file (/opt/retropie/configs/all/retroarch.cfg), there should be a volume up and down somewhere in there, just switch them.

Adding to the pile of that happened to me too but I fixed it by remapping my buttons.

I just reconfigured my button inputs from the main menu to fix this.

...Went for sweep kick on Street fighter but delivered a mighty punch
