Help with Battery Charger

Post by jhart3313 » Mon Mar 04, 2019 5:09 pm

I recently got the final parts for my mintyPi v2, and I was watching the videos to get an idea of what to do before I start, and I realized i have a different battery charger then in both the original video and the updated parts video. Is it possible for me to still use this one, and where would I solder the wires?

It's the same as the updated parts except it has the protection chips which you don't really need and is likely longer and might not fit in the base. You'll have to see for yourself if it'll fit or not. Wiring should be identical.

But what hole is the ground, and I remember wermy soldering the battery wires onto two metal pads after cutting a piece off. Where would I put the battery wires?

If you need to ask that you need to learn the basics of electronics, the negative or - is the ground and they are all connected so there are 3 of them on that board.

Wermy put the cords for the battery on two pads. There aren't those pads on my charger, so where would I put them?

My guess is that it would be the holes marked + and -.

The B+ and B- are where the battery goes which is why there is a B there. The OUT- and + go to the controller pcb power inputs.
