Re: White Screen and no boot (dead pi?)
I'm assuming it might be shorted to GND, check continuity on the 5V GPIO to GND and also the 3.3v GPIO to GND. Removing the pi is hard to do if you do not follow the steps in the video and have similar equipment.

Yeah I think your right. There is no continuity between the 3.3 v to ground or 5 v to ground. Should I try to attach wires to connect them?
I also bought the necessary equipment just in case

Re: White Screen and no boot (dead pi?)
If there is no continuity to GND from the 5v and 3.3v that is good but there should be something there, some resistance. I can't say without looking at it myself if the pi is dead or not or it's bad soldering. If no green LED activity is showing on the pi with a SD card with the mintyPi image on it and the pi is powered through microusb then it's shorted or dead.

Re: White Screen and no boot (dead pi?)
Your definitely right. I did find some resistance, but there was no green light when i powered it up with the sd card inside. I checked with another pi and there was a green light with that one. I also got the materials needed to desolder the pi, so I think thats my next move. Thank you all so much for the help. I really appreciate it!
