Just to bring this thread back on the rails I wanted to encourage OP and say not to give up. Please watch some YouTube videos, read abrugsch's soldering guide, and practice A LOT. When you've mastered your training, please attempt the project again and don't give up!

I may have been harsh (I can't help it it's my personality ;)) but get some proper tools and try again. I recommend a cheap soldering station with digital controlled temps like the 898D+ for less than $50 which I use practically daily and get some thinner solder like 0.032" and if possible the 63/37 kind instead of 60/40 but either will do. Get a cheap solder sucker to clean the blobs up and try again with proper tools this time.

Don't contact me about obtaining my board files (as you will not get them). If my Boards or PCB Kits are sold out, they will be restocked as soon as I can get them and there is demand for them. You can join the mailing list on my Website to be notified when they are available.

All of you guys have been helpful, and if I had my hard work destroyed by bad soldering, I would have been hard too (Sorry Helder)

Looking into soldering stations and going to practice my soldering, once I get better I'll start up this project again.

At least the sudomod community is always helpful :D

Haha, yeah sorry N64/PS1 minty will have to wait. It's an on screen battery monitor and shutdown. 😉

That is why they're broken out so people can add other things.
