Well, after troubleshooting and troubleshooting my headphone setup I'm now in this camp. My card gets the same error. Actually, both cards I have get the same error. I'm going to see if I can figure out why this error is showing up as well as if I can find a software workaround.
Update: I found that in order to stop getting this error I needed to run an update and upgrade on the system. After that it recognized the card. Still not getting any sound, but at least it recognizes that a sound card is plugged in.
