Connecting to pi as network server

Hi,

I'm using a Mac and getting ready to load a rom. I figured that I would just "connect to server" in finder. Type in the IP and get a connection error. It is connected to my home network over wifi. I can see the pi on my network. the IP is the same on the network as is shown on the pi. Not sure why I can't connect. Any thoughts?

Thanks

I am running V3. Just a thought, do I have to enable ftp on the pi before I try to connect from the mac?

I think I might have had a similar problem with my mintyPi, you could try this guide https://www.sudomod.com/wiki/index.php/ ... rring_ROMs, this is also a post I did a while back: viewtopic.php?t=11364. Hopefully this helped you, if you are still stuck respond back and I might be able to help a little.

EDIT: You might have to enable ssh, here’s a guide that really helped me: https://www.raspberrypi-spy.co.uk/2018/ ... interface/

I should have asked this first, are you using Retropie or a similar software, or something completely different? Because all the links I wrote are for Retropie.
