I lifted the power pad off the sound card!

Is there any chance I can recover from this mistake, or should I just get a new one off ebay?

This is just from a quick look with a multimeter, but it looks like if you flip it over, you can scratch off a bit of the PCB coating and connect the wire to this spot in stead. It seems to just connect straight through the board to the pad you ripped off.

Success! Just tested the end of the wire and it looks like it's working good. :D :D :D

I just ripped off the one next to that one (data minus?) Do you think you could help me find another trace?

You can use the top part of the R4 resistor. That connects directly to the second pad you mentioned.

Top when looking at it in OP post photo. Yes lettering. R5 is the other data line by the way. Also the top.

Great! Thanks. I've ordered others but there's still hope for this one!

Can someone possibly put up a diagram for different connection locations when the pads come off? I had three pop off when I was working on mine. It would be nice to salvage my sound card.
