On the button pcb where you connect the raspberry pi I managed to rip one of the silver squares off what should I do?

I did exactly the same thing. You can just solder a wire from the point on the raspberry pi to the corresponding test pad and as long as you haven't damaged the trace beyond the test pad it should work. Just make sure you use a thin wire.

depends which one. if it's not required, then you don't need to do anything
you know if it's required by the little map just above the array of squares (if in doubt, post a pic)
