Ok I've placed the file in the boot directory. If you could please elaborate on the code to enter I'd really appreciate it. I'm a complete noob at all this and I'm super grateful for all the help.

You'll need a USB otg cable to plug into the Pi' micro USB port and then connect a keyboard.

Then hit F4 and it will take you to the terminal. You can then browse to the root directory and move the file to the BIOS folder.

Have you any experience using Linux?? If not I'll dig out the commands for you. Unfortunately I'm predominantly Windows so haven't memorised them 😎

No experience with Linux. Appreciate all the help. Got my keyboard connected and into the terminal easily, just don't have a clue what to type in.

See the following links:

1) https://retroresolution.com/2015/12/12/ ... ls-part-2/

2) http://www.rapidtables.com/code/linux/mv.htm

I would imagine from the terminal (I don't have one up in front of me) it would be something like:

cd /root
$ mv gba_bios.bin /home/pi/RetroPie/BIOS

I can test this later if you get no joy - most info should be in the links to find your way :)

All that code works but I get a message saying it cannot find the file. I've dropped the gba_bios.bin into the SD card so I assume I've got the wrong location. Any idea where it goes?

you can check if the file is there by going:

cd home/pi/RetroPie/BIOS

ls (list command).
