Bought two samsung 32gb sd cards.I formatted, burned mintypi image and inserted card to test screen. Got white screen. Pi would not boot.checked my connections, ribbons.reburned image.Still white screen. Did the same with my second card, still white screen no boot. Finally I burned the image on a 8gb cheap no name sd card that came with my 3d printer and it works! The Samsung sd cards don't seem to be corrupt. Any suggestions? Thank You.

Hi,
Which image did you burn on it?
On Retropie official website, you can choose two versions of Retropie's images, one for the Zero and Pi1 and another for the Pi2-3, did you choose the right one?
Also, could it be that you have taken Kite's image and ran it on a regular computer screen?

Hm, I've used samsung cards without issue before. Do the cards work in other devices? Any chance you got some counterfeit cards (did you get them from ebay?)?

Sounds like they were using the mintyPi image I put up.

I bought some seemingly legit SanDisk cards from eBay for a great deal but after transferring a lot of data to it it always became corrupt. I used a program to check it's true capacity and it was 8gb instead of 32gb, this might be your problem.

The same thing happened to me with the two cheapy sdcards i bought from ali. Learned my lesson. When it comes to data, dont settle for cheapy fake chinese sdcards.
