What If Other Operating Systems?
What If Other Operating Systems?
If I cut holes into the case for the minty pi to allow access to the usb ports for a mouse and keyboard, would it be possible to run other operating systems on the raspberry pi zero and have the image output to the screen inside the tin? What kind of things would need to be done software-wise in order for this to work?

the only way your able to use the usb port is if you dont connect the sound card to it....Yalla Bye wrote: ↑Mon Aug 21, 2017 12:01 amIf I cut holes into the case for the minty pi to allow access to the usb ports for a mouse and keyboard, would it be possible to run other operating systems on the raspberry pi zero and have the image output to the screen inside the tin? if you have the sound card connected to the usb port (via the pads on the back), then its in use and cutting a hole in the front is pointless....
you might/should be able to connect a keyboard via usb (havet tried it myself)
but how are you going to be able to run a different operating systems without being able to access the micro sd card (and whats the point of it)

2.4" screen in a tin....... sounds like a gimmick to me.... no practicality what so ever (IMHO)
