Sound circuit on similar custom build

Post by WonderfulSpaceGoat » Mon Nov 06, 2017 8:24 am

Hi all!

I'm making my own mintypi-like device and have used a lot of elements of the mintypi in my build, including the USB sound card and the speaker.

I was wondering if there was any way I could connect both the audio jack on the sound card and the speaker to the pi. I was hoping I could have an audio circuit where sound comes out of the speaker, and out of the jack if a pair of headphones are plugged in. Is this possible solely through the hardware portion of things? I'd prefer not to have to involve software as I have a lot of different softwares I'm running on this and it would be a pain to configure them all.

As well, is there any way I could get that neat volume control part of the minty pi onto retropie (or raspbian) without installing your version of retropie? I need to install a different modified version but would also love to have that same volume control function.

Thank you so much!
