Battery Safety

Hey guys, I searched the forum for this question but didn't find anything.

So I've reached the point of the build where I solder the battery to the charger. I've never done this before and I'm concerned about the battery catching fire or exploding. Are there any tips or advice to safely solder the battery? Like a specific temperature to use or anything like that? I don't have anyone to do it for me and I want to learn so I'd like to do it myself.

Thanks a lot!

Solder one of the wires first to the board like the Red one and then the Black one, you don't want those 2 wires touching, besides that it should be a breeze.

Tin your wires and tin the pads that you're solder to. The battery wires are stranded so if you don't tin them they can fray and short. Tinning the wires and the pads will also make soldering them effortless and very quick.
