I have no sound coming out of my minty pi. I had the sound card and the speaker connected to the pcb directly then I switched to the original set up where the speaker is connected to the sound card and still no sound. I checked before taking the usb off the sound card and it worked fine but now...silence.

Is there anything I should/could try to get the sou d to work?

Do you have any close up detailed pictures? It will help to see what you have going on. Maybe something happened when desoldering. If you have wired as per the guides (through the PCB or direct) it should be fine. Likely wiring issues, if it worked before you removed the usb portion.

also, you are using the proper minty pi v4 image?

I’ve built 3 mintypi’s and two of them the sound works great. The last one I’ve tried several times to get to work as well. I’ve resoldered joints check I did not melt any of the parts or solder on the sound card. I think I’ll try a different speaker just to see but I’m in the same boat. I might need to get a new sound card it good there cheap.
