Game Transfer

Post by FallingShells » Thu Jan 11, 2018 6:27 pm

Alright, I'm a complete newb in programming, using Pi hardware, and inter-computer transfers. However I have a great understanding of electronics and I have successfully built and powered up the MintyPi that I now own. Everything is operational but I have no idea, nor can I find any detailed enough instructions for the transfer of games/placement of folders unto/on the MintyPi. I have had several successful boots but I do not know how to put an snes game and a gba game onto the Pi, nor do I know how to make them run. I need an explanation, possibly with pictures, on how to do these things, in layman's terms. Anything is appreciated, but I am a windows user so anything shown on an apple, I fear, will not be very effective toward my situation. Thanks in advance, Fallin'.

So is the pi connected to your Wi-Fi? With the minty pi the only easy way to transfer roms is via SSH.

Download winscp, and follow the instructions here.

Using Winscp you simply drag and drop roms into the respective rom folders. Also not. Gba and a few other systems need bios files. Google. GBA_BIOS.bin to find how to download the file and place it on the specific folder.
