No Boot after assembly

I got my minty pi up and running with just the button pcb and Pi. Even got Doom running. Went to assemble everything else, charged the battery, and now I cant get it to start. All I get is the screens backlight turning on and no green light on the Pi.

Does everything look right here? (the discoloration on the Pi is just flux)
Any thoughts?

Looks fine but you could have a poor ground connection. It could test fine when it's out of the tin but the board flexes when you screw it down. Ran into the same issue with one of my builds.

Yeah. I've had similar issues. Just run a jumper wire for the ground. That's likely the issue. Honestly I've added a jumper wire for ground on all my build. It was always tricky to get a good connection.

Good to know. I'll try this out. Whats the red line you drew in on that empty pin for?

Shutdown Pad GPIO, it's to the left of the CS GPIO.

Yeah. I used that pic to illustrate a specific pin to solder to for someone else. Like helder mentioned it's for the function button. If you plan to use the function button make sure you solder It!

ah really! didn't know that. I guess I haven't gotten far enough to notice that my function button didn't work.

Take a look at your power switch. A bad solder connection on it is realllllly easy to short power to the switch case, and when you close it up, it will ground out on the tin.

But open it back up and make sure your soldered wires are where they are supposed to be. Always solder and then tug to make sure your joint is good.
