when I turn on the raspberry pi the screen stays white. I can hear the sounds from the logos, but the screen stays white. this just started after I swapped out the sound card and got the sound working, and I don't know what to do. please help!

Check continuity on the LCD test points to the Pi GPIO, chances are one of the solder joints could be broken.

this is what I got from the test of connectivity from the screen to the pi-

vcc is connected to 3.3v on the pi
gnd is good
cs is good
rst is connecting to the rst on the board that I soldered to the pi, but not the pi itself.
d/c is good
sdi wasn't working but I added solder and now it's working fine
scl is connecting to sck on the pi, but not scl
led is fine
sdo (or soo, couldn't tell) is fine

should I solder a direct wire from rst on the board and rst on the pi?

sorry, I meant "continuity" not "connectivity"

Reset is vital to get the LCD working, all pins need continuity to work not just some.

thanks so much! I got the screen working by soldering the reset pin on the pi directly to the reset pin on the board.
