V3 disassembly tips?

Got my V3 all finished, but I expect I will need to crack it open to troubleshoot my headphone jack. Are there any tips for disassembly without breaking anything? Do folks pop off the screen bezel first? If so, where is it best to pry it off without breakage? Other tips?

I am kicking myself for testing every thing but the headphones before snapping it all together. Live Andy learn.

So for clarity, its just the headphone jack that doesn't work?

Screen and speaker sound is ok?

I usually take the screws out, and then either pull on the arm gently to wiggle it out or put a few layers of kapton tape on the end of a small file and put it in the headphone jack hole and very gently push the board out. Either way, take your time!

For clarity, you wiggle the arm out where? Out of the screen/lid section, out of its own hinge hole, or are you somehow sliding the rectangular capture base off of the button panel?

So, you are leaving the screen bezel in place?

Lphillimore, I have another thread open for it, but yeah, the headphone jack does not play audio (although it does cut speaker audio when a plug is inserted.)

I carefully grab the base where the arm attaches to the button board and gently wiggle and pull on that. It is easier to put something through the headphone jack hole though. Something about half the width of the shorter side of the board to prevent from damaging anything.

Ok so I get that part, but the other end of the hinge arm is still attached to the screen bezel? I was worried it would do damage as the angle gets out of whack.

I guess I forgot to mention that I place a guitar pic in when I can to keep the faceplate out of the tin, then slide the arm out of the faceplate, and then use another guitar pic to slowly get the rest out.
