Should I Heat The Flux? Build Guide Video Unclear

Greetings, I had a questioning concerning flux. In the build guide video he doesn’t heat the flux before putting the pi zero on the pcb button board. Reading the directions on the packing for the flux he’s using states that I should heat it before applying solder. So my question is should I heat the flux before putting the pi on pcb button board or not? What will happen if I don’t heat the flux? Thanks for your help with this and I hope you have a good day.

Thanks for the advice. If that's the case I was wondering if anyone on here has tried applying flux through the pi’s hole after screwing it to the pcb board. Seems that’d help the solder stay on the pad a bit easier.

One thing I have tell people that are starting out use the liquid no clean flux. The regular flux paste leaves residue and can cause connection issues.
With liquid no clean flux just get the solder pads wet and even if it dries up a bit it will still work. I use a flux pen for this.
