What kind of package should I be on the lookout for when the time comes?dryja123 wrote: ↑Thu Jul 20, 2017 10:34 pmDex, wanted to let you know that my order was received safely in the U.S. today. The quality of these batteries look stunning.
For anyone living in the U.S. who are thinking about buying these, please be prepared to wait at least a little over a month. I was fully aware of how long they took to arrive from overseas and knew that they were well worth the wait.
Now I just need to finish my mintyPi build and start my Kite SAIO build. I just received my batch 3 SAIO boards yesterday.![]()

Soft padded envelope with the contents secured. I ordered 2 batteries and was shocked with the amount of heft the package had.

Anyone know if these batteries will be allowed on a plane?

Re: [PREORDER] Custom GBZ lipo battery pack
It "SHOULD" be fine. The batteries are 26 watt hours so it's well under the 100 watt hour limit. Just don't call attention to it.Chrisagu28 wrote: ↑Fri Jul 21, 2017 5:20 pmI hope someone flys with there's. This is part of the reason I making mine. To travel with it.

Re: [PREORDER] Custom GBZ lipo battery pack
First I want to apologize ... my English language skills are bad.
I am from Finland, and I have long been waiting for Lipo-batteries.
I ordered and paid at the beginning of this year 15 € one-piece Lipo battery.
Then I paid for it 3 € extra mail from the post on 6 May 2017.
But I have not come to a package for me. Have you already sent me a package or where is it.

Re: [PREORDER] Custom GBZ lipo battery pack
Any chance we could get a timeline on the "Chinese lantern" batch? 5+ months since I ordered/paid & I still have zero clue if or when I'll ever see the batteries I paid for.
Re: [PREORDER] Custom GBZ lipo battery pack
I just flew with mine. It's a kite SAIO build. Not a single problem. I mean honestly, if you look at the finished product, it looks like something you'd buy. With the Kita SAIO board under an xray, the insides are going to look professional as well. I do have TSA precheck though, so maybe they aren't that thorough.Chrisagu28 wrote: ↑Fri Jul 21, 2017 5:20 pmI hope someone flys with there's. This is part of the reason I making mine. Then again, apparently the TSA fails their own checks and have been able to sneak over 90% of dangerous items through.
Re: [PREORDER] Custom GBZ lipo battery pack
I've been waiting for good week or so (had to withdraw in multiple transactions) for funds to get transfered from paypal to my bank account so I could make payment for batteries. That was done on Tuesday and now I'm waiting for them to confirm payment and start production.
Battery production should take 2 weeks, then follows light production with those batteries and that should take 1-2 weeks. Then when I get confirmation about stock in storage/shipping facility I can send them all orders and have them pack and send everything. How fast are they with processing orders I don't know as I have never used their service before but I hope all orders will be shipped in few days. So I guess we are looking at 4-5 weeks for "chinese lanterns" to get shipped? I really do hope so as some of you have been nice to me and waited for your batteries WAAAAAY to long.
Don't grow up.
It's a trap.
