I have a question Camble...
I'm currently planning a new project were i will use a 26Ah Li-ion battery for powering the components. It's a bartop in a special shape.
I will draw around 2A current and charging will throw 1.5A.
Can your board handle such a configuration ?
I need to push one switch to activate a safe shitdown command to the Pi and then powering off the screen, the sound amp, and the power supply.
All his board does is essentially control the enable pin on the powerboost. The supply power doesn't go through it, it goes through the powerboost. So current draw is not relevant to this board. You are only limited to the current your power supply can source (powerboost is 1A).
Thanks for the reply. I'm in fact not intended to use the powerboost due to his limited current draw ability.
Instead i'll go for this unit
5V 2.1A Charge Discharge boost Power Module 3.7V 4.2V li-ion 18650 LED battery
The features :
Charge voltage : DC 4.5V-5.5V(Recommend DC 5V)
<--- Perfect as i'll use a AC/DC 5V regulated power supply (10A)
Charging current : 0-2.1A
<--- Perfect to charge 26Ah
Charge quiescent current : 100uA
Full charge voltage : 4.2V+-1%.
Discharge current : 0-3.5A;
<--- Not used
Discharge quiescent current : 50uA
Discharge conversion efficiency : maximum 96%
Output voltage : 5V
Output current : 0-2.1A;
<--- Good to power everything through it
Operating ambient temperature : -20° to +85°
Size : 26.7 x 18.1 x 5.7mm
Weight : 1.9g
If anyone know another unit that can sustain higher current drain and higher charge capacity, i will be in. I don't know how to search on Aliexpress, and the only one i found is this unit which seems to be good.
