I suggest you to use your dremel again and cut some millimeters of battery's holders a little bit more at the bottom. Regarding to my experience, this could help.neolith wrote: ↑Sat Aug 26, 2017 10:34 amI just started working on my GBZ case and the first thing I did was cutting out the inner parts of the battery tray. Following the pictures in the first post I modified my case to make room for the battery.
Unfortunately even with all the supports cut out the battery doesn't fit.
My guess is that it is at least 2mm too wide due to the electronics attached to the battery itself.
Any other tips or advice would be much appreciated.

Re: [PREORDER] Custom GBZ lipo battery pack
Thanks for your suggestions and tips, guys.
Putting in the battery evenly was of course the first thing I tried. I guess my pictures don't reflect that very well as the battery is just lying at an angle.
Pushing in the blue plastic is barely possible. It works well on the edges of the battery's body, but not in the middle.
While there is some reduction achievable on the side by pressing the plastic in that isn't enough.
According to my caliper an original Game Boy case has a battery tray that is 57,75mm wide. My repro case has a tray 57,55mm wide. While that is a bit less, it shouldn't be much of a problem. The battery however is 59,00mm wide after pressing on it as much as I dare.
I guess I'll modify the case a bit on one side once I am sure where I want the cable to go.

Re: [PREORDER] Custom GBZ lipo battery pack
Ordered a standard (non-china version) on July 12th shipping to California. Got an email notification on August 14th saying that it was physically shipped out on August 11th. Not sure why it took a month to process....
Still have not received it. This Wednesday will be 7 weeks from the time I ordered. Still patiently waiting hoping my two batteries didn't get lost in the mail... But still excited to get this build together.

No, I'm in Germany. Sorry for you US folks having such trouble with shipping. :/
It took about 1,5 months to arrive here from payment and about two weeks from shipping confirmation.

@sworcery
my stock has just ran out....when I send out all orders and there are still couple of batteries left I will update paypal link but when my stock is 100% out you will have to wait for me to put up new link for "chinese lantern" battery that will ship directly from China.
I have to admit that a mont ago I was sending out orders with quite bit of delay due to extra work I had at work and at home so I'm still about two weeks behind processing your orders and there's been a lot of them.
Tomorrow I plan on processing all remaining orders so things get shipped and I move from my stock to Chinese warehouse stock.
It's been a chalenge managing orders and processes on two oposite corners of the Earth for last couple of weeks
After my vacation thing should speed up.
