Q: Is there room and would it be possible to add a USB slot for a second USB controller?

There is already an optional spot for a micro usb port. would just need to us an adapter.

Thanks

I'm not liking how the tomee controller is working out. Kinda flimsy and L&R not cooperating with snes zero board  plugged it in with SD from kites super aio I until I could find my other cards and got a blank black screen. Gonna have to work on it more. Anyone else run into this?

You will need to start with a fresh retropie load.

Was wondering how long it usually takes to ship? I had ordered one in April and still not received

I made another purchase, to a different address. I still haven't received my first purchase.

Got mine on Tue.
I actually bought a cheap nameless SNES compatible controller. The inside of it is obviously different from the build images but it was very easy to accommodate all of it inside. Had to desolder and resolder new wires for the L and R buttons. They were very different and short for the board, but that was not too difficult.
Also, while I was at it, I added a small tactile switch at the back of the controller (hot glued it), soldered to pins 5 and 6 on the pi, and using 8bitjunkie's install (http://pie.8bitjunkie.net/retropie-shut ... e-easy-way) to add a soft shutdown and on switch. Could be a nice addition to the next version of the board to have easy soldering pads on the board for these two pins.

I wanted to upload a pic of it, but for some reason could not find how to do so...
Info for "8bitjunkie's install to add a soft shutdown and on switch."? Sounds like a cool mod.

I edited my post to include the pic and a link to 8bitjunkie's page on it.
