[For Sale, Preorder] DMG pre-cut cases
Re: [For Sale, Preorder] DMG pre-cut cases
Finaly was able to play with 640screen. Here is what I was able to get :
Left side of the shell is shaved 1.6mm and small part under volume wheel is almost transparent, but still looking good when screen is installed
On the right side was enought 0.6mm

Hi Kubino, this is exactly what I need ready to prepare two cases for me? I'll send you PM
Haven't you checked compatibility with "our" 640x480 bracket? https://sudomod.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=58&t=6088
it should work well, there are no more options where the display can be slipped. I can update that design to be more precise if you find anything...

If you followed geometry from my bracket then vertical side should be OK, but for horizontal part there would be still some pixels missing on the right of the screen.timemaster wrote: ↑Fri Jul 06, 2018 5:04 amHi Kubino, this is exactly what I need ready to prepare two cases for me? I'll send you PM

Hmm, and there is no more space in the wall to cut out, right? What about cut through and then place some kind of cover over the hole filled with the display? I know, horrible idea but it depends on the cover design I think.kubino wrote: ↑Fri Jul 06, 2018 5:19 amIf you followed geometry from my bracket then vertical side should be OK, but for horizontal part there would be still some pixels missing on the right of the screen.timemaster wrote: ↑Fri Jul 06, 2018 5:04 amHi Kubino, this is exactly what I need ready to prepare two cases for me? I'm affraid no space. The only possibility is to cut from the screen as described in wiki. If you insist I can do the hole throught the case but I dont think it will look nice

Re: [For Sale, Preorder] DMG pre-cut cases
I will try that on some of my damaged cases later:) I am still thinking about covering that hole some easy way like with some sticker, thicker in its center with the exact size of that hole... But now I am completedly without tools as I wrote in different thread

Hello guys, I got some measurements for the 640x480 screen, hopefully it will be useful to some of you..
So I cut the screen following the directions from Kite. The result is this: the total width is ~83mm
I tried to put this with kubino's bracket directly on the front of the case. This is what we are missing from the sides:
Left Right Up and down sides are placed more or less OK.
What does this mean
With the cut from Kubino we can have near perfect fit on the left side and lose ~1mm on the right side but without using overscan settings
Unfortunately to get the best results a cut on the screen would be needed.. be extra careful!
Cheers
