Re: [interest check] DMG pre-cut cases
The USB Cutout is a great idea,
How about rear cutouts for L + R buttons? (or possibly L1, L2, R1 & R2)

yes searching for best solution I realy like HoolyHoo's idea with L1/R1 buttons on top of front case, maybe L2/R2 will fit in the middle.StephenMcC wrote: ↑Fri Jun 30, 2017 3:27 amThe USB Cutout is a great idea,

Re: [interest check] DMG pre-cut cases
Preparing the case completely pre-cut for using Kite's SAIO is an amazing idea. However in the last pic you uploaded, the colour LEDs' cutout in the front instead of how Kite has them is going to be disturbing during normal gameplay, even more in nightime because of the constant blinking of lights.
Anyway your ideas are being really cool. The microUSB hole is a little trickier than cutting the screen (since it is covered by the protector) or the front holes (cause after all they are made with a drill and not freehanded) so having it precut sounds really convenient.
Eagerly waiting for the back case cutouts. That's the dirty freehanded job haha.

Re: [interest check] DMG pre-cut cases
Thank you for the comments. Initialy I planned much smaller holes for leds, but my measurment was not 100% correct so I adjusted by 3mm holes. Anyway in last Kite's batch the leds seems not much disturbing and at the end it was just an idea, and if I dont like it I will print cap on my 3d printer this case had already defect caused by my wrong cutting so I'm using it for testing

My Ideal setup would be:
Your CNC Screen cut,
Your CNC X & Y cuts
Your USB cut out
This on the back:

Re: [interest check] DMG pre-cut cases
I think I will be getting the black one (if you get one for me). Kubino, I'll contact you in the coming week since I still have to recover from Kite SAIO's hit hahaha
Would you offer the microUSB and LEDs cutouts (Kite's or your distribution, both look cool) as well as the main XY buttons/screen?
I should be receiving one of Kite's boards around next week and will do my testing with my test case at home to see if I can fit the 3DS joystick while keeping the original NES style and not the vertical buttons. Do you think you could try to get the center hole for the joystick in Kite's board? I mean, your cuts do really look amazing and don't want to mess with the case anyway if I get one, at least the visible holes, the inner part can be a little mess, no one is going to see it but me haha

yes I think I can do it. need to know exact placement. Which hole you have in mind? Is it the one selected?Elmafioso90 wrote: ↑Tue Jul 04, 2017 6:18 amI think I will be getting the black one (if you get one for me). Re: [interest check] DMG pre-cut cases
I think it is judging by Kite's guide and schematics of the board. As I said I still don't have it in my hand to drill the holes in my test case to see how everything fits inside.
In Kite's guide it is marked as a 2mm hole since the joystick is made of two parts, the board which goes behind the case and the joystick on top. Since it is quite flat and the joint between both parts is really slim, they hole should not be too wide but still allow some movement. I can take a couple of pictures of the joystick so you can get a rough idea.
