That's a good idea. Something like that would have to be on a person by person basis though, depending on quantity. But it's something to think aboutNeilbuck wrote: ↑Sun Aug 27, 2017 11:45 amI like what you're doing here buddy. I don't have a suggestion on pricing I'm afraid. I have no idea what your cost of time commitment is in these so it's really hard to contribute an opinion in that sense.
One suggestion though. Maybe offer price breaks for multiple item purchase. There are a lot of people in our group who build and sell these pizero gameboys I've noticed. They may be interested in buying 5 kits at a time or something like that.
And the people who just build for themselves and friends/family might see benefit in that option as well.

Re: [Interest Check] Original DMG Buttons Shoulder Bracket
Just another update so no one thinks I'm slacking. I've ordered bulk screws, dmg buttons, conductive pads, and last but not least, the revised boards! I bought about 100 sets of buttons and 50 conductive pads for the time being. So as far as full set go, it will be first come first served deal. To be honest I don't know how popular it will be as there hasn't been a huge amount of feed back here, but I presume numbers will spike once it gets moved to the more popular "sale" thread, so hopefully this is enough for now. Will order more parts as needed but there will be a wait. Anywho, got these boards fixed up and sent for fabrication a few days ago. Hopefully everything will be prepared and good to go by the end of the month

Re: [Interest Check] Original DMG Buttons Shoulder Bracket
I would like to use this as well, but it would be cool if there was a buy option for people with a 3d printer that can print their own bracket, like me lol. Even if the cost wasn't much less I would still just like to print my own bracket because I love 3d printing. I would buy a kit that is just the PCB and drill guide as I have a lot of spare buttons and pads. I am definitely interested in this when it is available though.
Will there be a new purchase thread when everything is ready or will this one be updated?
Last thing, What would you want for one of the boards that is off a tad? I wouldn't mind messing around with one of those if the holes are to be drilled in the same location anyways.

I will most likely keep this thread and ask a mod to move it over to the sale thread so no worries, this thread will be notifiedSumCanadianGuy wrote: ↑Wed Sep 06, 2017 8:31 amI would like to use this as well, but it would be cool if there was a buy option for people with a 3d printer that can print their own bracket, like me lol. The old boards have different drill spacings as they were the prototype and I was testing which locations would be better. They have drill holes in offset spacing on each corner while the newest one is just going to be 3 across the center. In addition, one of the issues was that the battery compartment tab was preventing it from sitting right. I didn't take enough of a notch out at the bottom of the board. So it's a bad batch
As far as the printing goes, I'll have to look into it as an option. I'm not sure if I could justify much of a price change just for removing the printed parts because as you know, being a 3d printer owner, that's not exactly where a lot of the cost is at.

Re: [Interest Check] Original DMG Buttons Shoulder Bracket
Yeah that is what I figured. Even if it was no price difference I would likely go with that option. Might be harder for you to keep track of everything though if you have too many skews though. Either way I definitely want a set of parts. I found the proper shell I have been wanting for over a year today and ordered it so I will have a fresh shell to start with and can add these in at the same time.
Re: [Interest Check] Original DMG Buttons Shoulder Bracket

Re: [Interest Check] Original DMG Buttons Shoulder Bracket
Mark me down for one as well. Can I assume this bracket also nixes any cartridge reader?

Correct. It uses the same area unfortunately. With a pi w zero though, you can get wireless access to your card through ssh.shesaysidontlisten wrote: ↑Sun Sep 17, 2017 9:01 amMark me down for one as well. Can I assume this bracket also nixes any cartridge reader?

Re: [Interest Check] Original DMG Buttons Shoulder Bracket
Update! New boards came in. The placement looks much better! So this should be the final prototype of the boards. Just got to finish designing the 3d printed bracket. My bulk order of buttons should also be here tomorrow so everything is almost good to go !
Please vote on the first page if you haven't, would REALLY help me out with eyeballing orders
Plus, please give me your input on what you feel is a fair price for these sets. I would love to have community input thanks
