Nice work with the brackets and the STL! Love that you're sharing the model also.

Do you have any pictures (rear and inside) of this installed with the buttons in place?
These pictures are not my own, they are from someone else who has installed

Hey,

does Kites bracket has the same distance between the buttons as your bracket?

They aren't exact but they are similar enough to work. As I stated on the op, this one is just a slightly modified version of my own. Those slight modifications we're mainly designing new side pieces, as my originally ones may be hard for people to print. And an adjustment to the center screw post as mine are slightly lower than his. However, I did discuss with kite about adjust the shape of his board slightly to allow for a better fit. He may be making some adjustments to future boards, and if he does, I have a better fitting bracket ready to go for it :)

What are the two white rubbery looking pieces sticking out at the top of each button? Is it the conductive membrane? I thought it was supposed to be trimmed? Thanks.

Yup it's the membrane. I go into trimming it in more detail in my other thread. But what you do is cut it in half, so it's just the 2 circles, and then you trim off the little lip that outlines the part. Don't remove the peg guide though because it help align it and keep it in place. You can if you want to, there is enough pressure to keep it in place. But I just thought it would be easier with the pegs

Oh this is really helpful. I will check out the other thread and your videos. I don't have all the pieces in hand yet so it's kind of difficult (for me) to picture everything. I just want to get ready before installing!

No problem. If you have any questions post back here, that way it can help others who may have similar questions 👍

I'm still waiting for my parts to get here so i can't tell: is this bracket a requirement for holding Kite's back button pcb board in place?

Is this a need to have or a nice to have? I don't want to wait 4 more weeks for my china shipments to get here only to find out I still need to order something like this.

Thanks

If you want to use kite's backboard, then you will NEED a way to hold the board in place. It can't be used on its own as nothing is there to hold it. You can maybe hold it in some other way, but I wouldn't know how. So I'd say this is a need if you wish to use his back board
