CARTBOY Pre-Orders (Full Featured Pi0 GB Cart Sized Handheld)

Hey Sudo'ers!
Today I present Cartboy, a newly developed mini Pi0 handheld. Postman and I have been hard at work!
After seeing all the neat projects from this community, it inspired us to do the impossible.
Cartboy was a pipe dream that started with the idea of putting a Raspberry Pi zero into an original Gameboy cartridge case. After designing the first prototype, we found many engineering difficulties with the concept. It would have been viable, however, it would have had roughly 15 minutes of battery life, limited controls, and had no sound. Cartboy development continued onward with 8 board revisions, countless case modifications, and test prints over an 8 month span. With a completely new casing and custom PCB, Cartboy is now a reality.
The assembly processes is straight forward and is detailed in the assembly guide (coming soon). It involves sanding of ~1mm of the Pi zero on the camera connector edge, removing the power micro USB port, and soldering the Pi zero to the PCB. The process takes 1.5-2 hours for people with moderate soldering skills.
The kit includes:
Features:
Test Printed Cases Example
(These are only test prints done on an Ender3. The final cases will have a separate color for the screen bezel like the renders do and will look much more cleaner. These were printed very quickly. If we get enough people in the pre-orders, we will send out the case design to a 3D printing service like Shapeways and have them professionally made. Otherwise that part of the funds from the backers goes towards a MMU and upgrades for the printer to use it.)

Pre-orders are expected to start shipping mid-late July. This is subject to change based on how fast pre-orders fill and manufacturing/shipping times from the factory. We felt this would be the most straight forward way to secure funding for Cartboy. Due to restrictive battery shipping laws, we will not be providing the battery with the International Kit. The price is reduced to reflect this. Please select the correct kit based on your location. Limit one per customer until further notice. No refunds will be given after purchase. The only exception would be if we cannot complete orders on our end.
If you are looking for the DIY Tamagotchi of Game Boy zeros this is for you. Cartboy was designed with all gamers in mind.
BIG THANKS TO ALL THE AMAZING MINDS THAT HELPED GUIDE US ALONG THE WAY! Moosepr aka Pi0cket was a big leading role with creative ideas and helping us understand the SPI LCD and tons more! And Will.I.Am is helping us polish up the image so that it is custom to the handheld specifically. Cheers guys, pat yourselves on the back!
