Tried a forum search but couldn't find anything too clear.
Why not plug directly into the powerboost?
Is the micro usb charging port needed?

You certainly could plug right into the powerboost. The separate charging port just makes it so you can position your PB wherever you want inside the case independently of the charging port.halleyscomet wrote:Tried a forum search but couldn't find anything too clear.
