PSA: Battery Safety

The batteries themselves are no more risky, more the way i plan on using them.
Normally when people use these batteries theyre all permanantly attached to eachother to create one cell. My batteries will all be loosely connected through the battery terminals inside the battery bay. Im absolutely certain it will work and hopefully achieve that retro feel too .
Just want to see what people think considering they could potentially fall out, and wont be heat shrink wrapped etc etc.

Would hate miss something obvious with these batteries.

Sorry to do so, but I ne we got an answer to my question regarding the overcharge protection... My LiPos arrived yesterday and I want to put that first safety measure on before going ahead.

Does anyone of you know if the JST SM connector would work on the Adafruit Powerboost 1000C ?
I found them in 22AWG, but not the JST PH in 22AWG...

they say that it's not good to do so even with alkaline..do they mean like 18650, 14500 etc ???

Would it be safe to use an unprotected 18650 with this board?

From my experience with having used modified electronic cigarettes which utilize replaceable Li-Po batteries under extreme loads, 50+ amp pulses would be a normal occurrence and I would like to know what the chemical composition is first. Are your batteries ICR, IMR, INR, or one of the even newer types? There are major differences in terms of outputs and also in terms of safety.

Regarding Lithium Ion batteries on airplanes, the last time I had to fly the rules were that batteries had to be in a hard, protective case or installed in the device. I'm also pretty sure that you are not allowed to pack them in checked baggage, carry-on only.
